These are my "running shoes" 2.14 - Training 2.16 - Training 2.19 I'm still working on sleeping. I'm not very good at it. Never have been. 2.20 - Training 2.22 Needs work. 23 and Me claims I have the mutation to the ADRB1 gene that allows for a shortened sleep cycle, but half? Really? 2.22 - Training 2.22.23 Closing in on the 5 mile mark. 2.23 Cross-training cardio today. 2.23 - One hour: 13.5 miles on the stationary bike for some cross-training today. Hadn't used a stationary bike in more that a decade. Had to have been funny watching me try to figure out how to use it! 2.25 Milestone 001. I doubled my distance from my very first run a month ago. 2.27 Strapping up for war with the weights. 3.21 - 2023 Phoenix Shamrock virtual 10k. I ran the entire distance, slow and steady. No pain! Iām going to try to take pictures at all of my events and post the images here. Hopefully, the space will fill quickly! February 5th first 5k event in the better part of a decade. The first event I've run from start to finish. 30 minutes and 59 seconds. Entered after two weeks of running. March 12th ran 5k on the treadmill as recovery for a very VERY sore knee. Felt great and as a bonus I'll be getting some sweet swag for the Tattooine National Park 5k/10k! March 21st Phoenix Shamrock 10k. I had signed up for the race, but had to switch my registration to a virtual run due to injury. Finished the run this morning!
